Welcome! I’m Amanda!

It all started with the dream of making just a bit of money on the side with my first son at home.

I started designing knit and crochet patterns in 2011 for magazines and moved into self-publishing in the next few years. Since then, my main website, Love Life Yarn has gotten millions of pageviews (just shy of 4 million in 2022 alone!) and has been my full-time job since June 2021.

I started Creative Blog Academy to help teach others to do what I do. I remember that feeling – dreaming of leaving my 9-5 and working with yarn all day – and I want to help set you free, too!
